My mind wants to forget
My heart forbids just that
Why does this cause me so much pain
Your care doesn't even amount to a ouch of grain
I pretend you are my everything just to get threw the day
But what i have learned is when i keep trying from day to day
I make a fool of myself and this keeps me at bay
And keeps me away from moving on
