Kids Poem by Alexander S. McGuire

Kids

I look around my town
At this group of younger kids
And in there eyes i see a fire
Burning to know to live
And as i sit there watching
More observer than a friend
I feel a spirit in there youth
I hope they never loose it
I hope it never dies
The world in which they live in
Filled with truth that more than lies
One wish i do have for them
Is to keep an open mind
