King Of Dirt Poem by Kevin Patrick

King Of Dirt

Im a piece of dirt
yet Im the king of the earth

And Im a vermins Crumb
another minscule God

and then a billboard reads
That 'This is it'
and I look around
but nothing fits

...no nothing fits

So when you see me smile
you better start to run
cause im going three miles
With my atomic fun

Ive got a broken train
where my mind is placed

Its counting down the day
Until my viewpoints made

Now Ive got nerves of pure steel
And Im steady and furious
Watching the world flay and peel
you say 'dont be so serious'

And Im the king of dirt
but this is not my earth

No, this is not my earth

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It was either write something ridiculous nonsensical, or do something that would get me throwing in jail or prison. I chose the one that would not be a tough sell to future employers
