King Of Leon - Poem by Steve Almeida

My thoughts are libaires, inside books,
where's my mind buried
Divine in every sense of the word
with the sentences splurged, cool
kids tend to forget I'm a nerd
I sagg my pants, black tee and a matching
A man that listens to charles
manson, with an addictive passion to
Iconic or ironic like the black ink
on an arayan's swatizkska
They tried to salvage what's left, I
do damage to that
Release a single that's bait, they been lured in a
Play the album I'm only nailing em, to the cross...then I start dissecting my fans
my direction is mis directing they path
self-expression through an a art that
refused to be banned
I give em two middle fingers, a pissed off dad
An emo, a hippie and neo
I'm the one with dark twisted visions of
peace growth
a living contridiction...
tobacco kills..but weed dont
capsules, pills, bowls, bongs,
tighten bonds that's peace smoke
A rose that grew in concrete, weilds an
axe so sharp it could skin the
cotton off a black sheep
proceed with caution whenever you see me
coughing in a back seat
truthfully I'm usually under the influence
my short winters cold, sober souls go long
summers tryna wonder what I'm
They wonder what I'm using, that got my hands and eyes twitching and my steady mind
balance my grind tryna steady
our movement
no henchmen these blessed men who invest in our movements
offer protection and we offer them
inception, to accept the depths of our
Its death where I'm headed
They hear me talk and say that ima
cross between pac and john lennon misunderstood...
I don't expect them to ever understand to me
they over analyze everything, that's why they'll
never stand me
my thoughts is quicksand, you tryna simply sail through
think quickly the last ship sank and went missing
I got four brothers inspire to keep together
the wind beneath they wings, they
can bleed on my feathers
believe they'll always be someone to lean
and the band is all family...but we
aint no kings of leon
