Kiss My Heart Dear Poem by James Meaney

Kiss My Heart Dear

Kiss My heart dear
I've loved you all along
Keeping me at bay
I want you in my arms
but we've waited enough
I know the sun rise is early
& your trying to keep it tough
But I'm holding on barley

Kiss my heart dear
In my dreams you appear
Running too each other
now were standing close and near
Fogging up the stars
crashing waves and thunder
smoking life and burning cars
You've stirred me up like a warm summer

Kiss My heart dear
A summer for the decade
going off with fireworks
Blowing up in a cascade
You know it was tantalizing
If only you knew that when
cheeks blushing, lips perking
That you were a perfect ten

Kiss my heart dear
few and far between
Could I tell it was you
I think we know the answer
will we stand here forever
will we walk away
can you begin to think this
This year doesn't have the day

Kiss my heart dear
Were both thrillin kids
I led you to the door
I almost missed your lips
but that's not the point
your the unwritten girl
I like you a-lot
I'm the rock your the pearl

Kiss my heart Dear
For well fly away, place too place
town to town, round trip ticket
to anywhere around
It's cold in Alaska, so lets hit it to Jamaica
Surf on the sun, & go tanning in the Bay Area
Soon you'll see, Im all you need
You plus me, what a trippin it'll be.
