As the knife plunges again
the pain is extreme and sharper this time.
Twisted clockwise
I shut my eyes trying not to show my pain.
Gasping for a breath like a swimmer as he surfaces
But keeps striving for that moment.
The tablets help him get that extra meter.
That extra breath.
But it doesn't last long.
He must keep swimming to receive that moment of relief,
A moment where he can breath.
A moment without pain.
A moment of normality,
Until the next day
