The sky is monotone and it speaks
In a straight forward tone
The sunny people’s frowns
Are hiked up at the corners
Like the little dresses tied above those
Knees of bony fragility
My knees turn in and grimace
As the joints cringe and creak
They run and chatter against each other
Till this thick fragility succumbs
To its pointless thoughts
And halts to peel away on a lawn
Mowed with perfect precision
The barefoot freedom traverses away. Far.
Whilst my feet sting with the infliction unfit
Bones cradle,
They click and keep jarring with each sprinting
Fancy that now departs with those already run away
Thought provoking. Gives a feeling like the protagonist has been left behind due to age or disability. Thanks.
