Know Him, Love Him

Do you know He who was dying?
Two thousand years ago
Who through sinless blood, supplying
Brought forth Salvation flow

Have you spared yet, some thought to see
The One, through whom you live
Suffering, Golgotha's blood soaked tree
Eternal life to give

Do you know the same One's watching you
Each thought, word, deed, aware
His love, your future, life in view
Bountiful to share

Through God's living Son, the risen Christ
The dreadful pain He bore
For sinner, for saint, sacrificed
To enter Heaven's door

For shameful you, for shameful me
All shameful children born
Jesus chose death to set us free
To rise! At true life's dawn

But only sinners who believe
Who turn their backs to sin
Who able by faith to receive
God's Promised One within

God's Spirit, Ghost, Eternal Breath
The Dove on Christ, God's Son
The same, will raise us each from death
When true life's crown is won

We need to know! Jesus living
No longer walk astray
All other, debtors forgiving
Along Salvation Way.....
