Knowing The Truth

Responsible are those who know
Who yet refuse to fight
Who know the way that man should go
Who yet conceal the light

There’s still so much of God to see
However high we soar
Who in the Church is truly free?
Who is above the law?

Truly content, is none on earth
However much we try
Even the few with second birth
Are often seen to cry

We seek God’s face in constant prayer
Yet tell each other lies
We gnash our teeth we bite and tear
Behind our church disguise

Content from birth in doing nought
Allowing death walk by
Knowing of Jesus’ true report
Knowing God’s children die

We watch as neighbours fall and fail
While brothers break the law
We think at death we’ll spin some tale
And walk through Heaven’s door

We’re blind to all that God would bring
Were deaf what Christ would tell
Like fools we soar on eagles wing
Upon the wind to hell

Wake up and see the devil’s crime
Arise from Satan’s bed
Wake up and see it’s now our time
To raise the walking dead
