Still by the wayside Seed will fall
Plagued with famine and drought
Though man may hear Salvation’s call
His heart is full of doubt
Will not our God who is The Lord
Not keep His promise made?
Will not He raise His mighty sword?
And fight who truth invade
Though Satan may use each devious ploy
May tempt us with his wares
Yet through salvation’s strength and joy
We’ll flee his wicked snares
Nothing can sever from Christ our pledge
Nothing can pull us down
But we ourselves can form the wedge
That parts us from life’s crown
So knowing this and still believe
The message of The Cross
Who can the devil now deceive?
Causing such painful loss
The fight is on and we can win
When in The Lord we stand
If when we turn away from sin
And hold our Master’s hand
The hand they pierced upon The Tree
The hand that’s stretched out wide
Seeking each soul He yet can free
To safely walk inside
I’m here my God in You I trust
Your Holy Will be done
Take up this child You made from dust
In You my war is won.
