Kwa Okondedwa Poem by Chikondi Daniel Dziko

Kwa Okondedwa

Oh dear love, oh sweet love
What do you dream of us?

Love is a deadly sin,
Mine is too, a dark lavender
would you still be drawn to it?
Would you still be my faithful bee?

In my palm i hold, the
Poison of love, oh sweet Juliet
Once your lips taste with quench
This fruit Eve tasted

I will without a second,
Like Adam and Romeo,
Drink from this cup
And die here in love with you

Just to be there in that dream
