Last Night I Dreamed... Poem by Furqan Asad

Last night i dreamed a dream of peace.
A dream of love.
A dream of care.
A dream of hope.
A dream of lost and unfold prayer.
I dreamed of world being so full
But still so less it felt to me
The words of love.
The words of care.
And all the lost and unfold prayer
Did make it full but
Why could'nt i feel the love
That had been there.....
Of all the worries of the world
Did leave me then and left me with
An absurd thought that made me fear,
I thought that i was cursed
And could not taste the smeal of love.
I could not think of any think but
To cry on what had been my fate.
As i did i felt it then that crying can not solve a thing.
I have to face the bitter facts
For world is not a dream of love
The love is all what comes from the heart......
The care is what we show in
love
And as i open my eyes to world
I see it now that it is true
It was a dream that left me soon
And all that is with me is hope
But i do find this dream to be
No myth
No mystery
I could see it clearly now that what was
a dream is not one now......
