Last One For You Poem by Elizabeth Walker

Last One For You

Emptiness you left me with, the words we didn't say
I'm waiting for a monsoon to wash this all away
I'm tired of knowing the hurt that lingers on
I feel lost and helpless knowing that you're gone
Why can't we say how we really feel inside?
Is it due to bashfulness or is it our pride?
I will never judge you but I'm going to take a stand
I hope you're with me by my side holding my hand
I won't go out with regrets I'm leaving it all on the floor
and if you don't like who I am, I'm not sorry, there's the door.
