Lay My Head Down To Rest Poem by Robert Beksinski

Lay My Head Down To Rest

I’d like to crawl inside of a hole

Just some useless crack at the end of it all

And run away from what’s chasing me

Crawl down and hide in the darkness

Peer out in curiosity to see it

How the world is rotating without me

I wonder if things are better off

Either way I don’t care anymore

Lost in my fantasies and delusions

Because reality became too unbearable

And I’m sorry, for I have given up
