Laying On The Grass Poem by Jackie Trujillo

Laying On The Grass

I’m staring in your eyes and I can see your thoughts,
You smile and I melt in your arms
I lay my head on your chest and
Your heart stays steady
As we lay together a slight breeze
Sways the grass
The sun is starting to set, and
Leave us alone on the ground
The day once endless is gone
I lay asleep in your arms
This precious day with you, laying on the grass
