Leaf Departure Poem by Monique Mendoza

Leaf Departure

As the soothing twilight breeze,
with ever so gentle hands,
cheers the mourning fallen leaf;
brings it far away to lands.

But how now 'tis autumn tree?
Solitude-its only brute.
For allowing leaf be free,
blame never the wind's pursuit.
