Leaned On- Leaned Out Poem by Sumitra Mishra (nee Balakrishnan)

Leaned On- Leaned Out

She watched his leaned-in tears.
Now — was another woman's woe,
Once she had told - the same story
Then he called her dramatic.
He smiled, said nothing. Left.

The heart knows better now.

Left Nothing. Said - 'she smiled'.
Dramatic, he called her then.
The same story - she had told once,
Another woman's woe - was now.
His leaned-in tears, she watched.
