Learning Poem by Sean Foster

Learning

enigmatic array of consequence
whence will we take hold
shelter the cold
let the hungry eat
disgusted by the grovel
performed at your feet
you see how you're in defeat?
how could we allow this to go on for so long
have we forgotten how we come together
a choir voices sing in melodic song
is it wrong?
is this a challenge too bold?
are you that afraid to lose your weight
when all you weigh is gold?
come off it
climb down from your tower
stop hiding your head beneath that pillow you shelter your power
grab your coat and open the door
a bustling wind may
sweep your feet right off the floor
but don't be afraid
its only the ground
you came from there and when you're dead thats where you'll be found
so take life for what it is
enjoy the love happiness gives
