Leftover Poem by Kristina Stockamp

Leftover

Rating: 5.0

I thought I could preserve
those succulent memories
to last a lifetime without you,
but I found that I am tired
of the taste of leftover moments.
The sweetness of recall
has turned bitter, and I long
for something ripe.
