Leper's Love. Poem by Tanner Herndon

Leper's Love.

Love.
And, how can you be in
Something in which you know
Nothing about?
Because, it is a powerful,
Addictive, unexplained drug.
Everybody will be hooked.
We all will be going down to the clinic
To get our love-pills.
We'll go to rehab, for love.
We will have love interventions,
For families and friends.
We will go to love houses,
Where you engage in acts of love
Love prostitutes,
Love judges, lawyers, clerks,
Love terrorists, love wars
We will shoot heart shaped
Candies at one another, that are
Printed with the words, 'love'
On them.
We will die in love and die for love
We will die because of love
And we will live because of love
And it will change our lives and
Yet the world is still a big pile of
waste.
Love hasn't a meaning, anymore.
It's an outcast.
If you are in love,
You are a leper.
