Let Love Go Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

When I looked in your eyes, it nearly took me off of my feet.
Did you think that love had a part to play in?
Do you think you could just let love go.

I did not see it at the start, but I knew that there were stars in your eyes.
They told me to grab hold of you, but then love was flying off to another land.

So I told myself to let love go, even to this day I think of you.
The moment was everywhere, just had to make it right…but the love you had was deep from your heart.


I knew, I could not let you go. When I think of you, I let my feelings show.
Sometimes it gets the better of me, that’s when I see my other side of myself.


Do you think you could just let love go. Would I even fly with the wind while it’s moving? I bet I can touch the stars above with my hand.


But for now I will say my goodbyes and just let love go with the wind.
