Let’s Give It A Try

Few think or care down life’s dark path
On roads of self desire
Despite of God and Heaven’s wrath
And hell’s deep pit of fire

God’s warnings seem of little worth
Doubting His Son and Heir
Blind fools continue flooding earth
With evil everywhere

But life will smile at truth’s caress
As facts of Christ appear
When sinful souls their past confess
And hearts learn God to fear

But who has ears or eyes to see?
Who shares a thought of love?
Who’s heart and soul would yet agree?
With Heaven’s will above

Who’ll help the weary find life’s goal?
Who’ll help the blind to seek
Bear a thought for a hungry soul?
For neighbours old and weak

Who’ll love a liar cheat and thief?
Who’ll care for those in jail
The sick and dying lost in grief
Who’s lives seem lived in vain

Who’ll teach their neighbours how to cope?
The drifter void of sight
Restore their faith rekindle hope
Along life’s road to Light

By spending self in truth and love
Showing this world we care
Opens the way to life above
And all our God will share
