Let’s Lend A Hand

When Life’s foundations come to light
God’s building plans are read
With Christ’s instructions plain in sight
We’ll build from stones once dead

We’ll build; though all around is war
Knowing its God’s desire
With Jesus as our perfect door
We’ll build our walls of fire

Though round our feet there’s much debris
Though dust and filth’s abound
The Fire of Christ can set us free
To walk on holy ground

Each child of God must understand
Amidst life’s awesome fight
When all the members lend a hand
The bride will soon unite

Through faith in God and through His Christ
Such stones will stand as one
And through the blood God sacrificed
The Father’s will be done

Then brick by brick and stone by stone
Life’s Portal sound in place
No longer will we feel alone
Or fear to see God’s face

For God will smile on hands that toil
On hearts consumed with love
Anointing with Salvation’s oil
For life in Christ above

Till every crack and cranny’s filled
Till safe on Heaven’s shore
We need in faith life’s wall to build
Each day a little more
