Let The Rain Fall. Poem by Prince ....

Well this is the day I hoped would never come.
Maybe somewhow I'll be missed by some.
Sometimes I try but my best effort fails.
I'm caught in a storm on a ship without sails.
Even though I cry, my tears will be silent.
I'll hide my true feelings no matter how violent.
Even if I feel I'm losing it all,
I'll take a step back and let the rain fall.

Sometime's it's hard to just keep going.
But life is still moving without us knowing.
I seem to be the target for all of the thrown stones.
Tired of feeling broken from more than just bones.
But I'll pick up the pieces and start over again.
Knowing ther'll be a day I'll remember when
I'd get knocked to my knees and forced to crawl.
Trying to stand strong while I let the rain fall.


Well, that day has finally passed and moved on.
But I still know all my hard times are not gone.
I sit in the silence in the break from the thunder.
With no need to be worried and no need to wonder.
For even if it's a second, I can rest in peace.
Just calm my head and let the raging cease.
If it comes down again trust that I will stand tall.
Because the sun will shine after I let the rain fall.
