Let Us Not Tell Her Poem by Craig Jordan

Let Us Not Tell Her

Let us not tell her,
how she makes us smile,
that whenever it is she passes,
We make heaven for a while.

Let us not speak her,
Words that mirror pen,
For what if she did see them?
Oh, what would we do then?

Let us never read her,
For fear of what we'll see,
What if she did like us?
Oh, whatever would we be?

Let us never hear her,
It is harder when we do,
For she gets in our head,
Oh, when will I be through?
