Lethargy Poem by Mary Champion

Lethargy

Nothing to focus on,
to trigger emotion.
Not feeling obsessive
about some injustice.
Not got a heartache,
don't feel suicidal.
Not blissed out by nature -
enough to put pen to.
Low on frustration
not on a high
but not low enough
to wish I could die.
Not hopeful or hopeless,
not angry - just neutral.
Life is a bitch but
my own's not that brutal.
In short - in the doldrums
is where I am floating.
Can't wait till the storm comes
and gets me creating.
