Letter To Valentine Poem by Henrik Berg

Letter To Valentine

To you who couldn't take a no
I ask, no more fighting.
To you who needed me to stand,
I will offer you a hand.

To you who were my shoulder to lean on,
Forgive me for not being one for you.
To you who hid behind all the laughter,
I'm happy to have seen the real you.

To you who resented the world,
And whose hands made me me quake.
Let the serenity I found follow in your wake.

To the princess weaving a dream
Sorry I couldn't be your prince.
To the one who let me inside her walls,
I haven't felt safer since.

To you who taught me rejection, sent me along,
Know that I think of you still.
You who dared not loose another love,
You never lost me and never will.
