Lies You Tell Yourself By S.T Cartledge Poem by Kevin Prou

Lies You Tell Yourself By S.T Cartledge

Sticks and stones may break your bones but
boys will be boys
words will never hurt you
if you use them'if you feel them
you will never cry because
boys will be boys
feelings don't affect you
you don't understand them
girls can not control them because
girls will be weak and
boys will be boys
&
girls will be single &
girls will be shy &
girls will be sending out mixed signals &
boys will be boys
you don't need to talk about it
because words will never hurt you
if you use them
if you never feel them
if you never try them
you will never learn that
boys will be boys
will be wounds
will be scars will be tears
will be insecure and lonely
will be the moment you need to reach out
words will be words which are stuck in your throat
& you won't know how to let them out to
save yourself
