Life Poem by Sylvia Chidi

Life

I was walking down the Hill
Until I was forced to a stand still
Along rolled tumbling rocks
Creating stumbling block!
It's a bitter pill to swallow
I think with my thoughts quite shallow
We give up so easily when we think we want something

The truth is that we are never really ready for anything
Yet we always seek and desire everything!
To rise and rise and be wise requires sacrifice
So if with your feelings you try to economize
Then you have just told yourself some big lies
Because life always comes with a price
Life is something, everything, nothing or sometimes anything
