Life At Highest Battlefield Poem by kamesh Sai

Life At Highest Battlefield

Rating: 5.0

Poised to do impossible at this worlds highest battlefield,
We never fear as we are men with nerves of steel.

The land is barren, the passes are so gigantic,
Temperatures vacillate faster, making us erratic.

With white out at every instance,
We pain our eyes without any resistance.

Weather changes swiftly and violently,
Snowstorms and avalanches visit us frequently.

Snow is white and grey, with beautiful glow,
Even sweat freezes to ice in the gloves.

Sun does not assist us, but kerosene does,
Bullet's don't kill us, but the freezing cold does.

Hot water doesn't stay hot, Food freezes hard to rocks,
And doesn't get dented even with hammer knocks.

We are always alert and work for a cause,
Work at our will and never ask for applause.

Every day and every hour, we overcome the toughest,
Take pride and always aspire to do the best.
