Life Is A Counter War Poem by Mohammad Yousef

Life Is A Counter War

By Mohammad A. Yousef

Life is a counter war,
a battlefield of hope and doubt,
where each dawn rolls in with a challenge,
like clouds gathering before a storm.

We rise,
warriors of our own making,
each breath a rallying cry,
each step a march on the unknown,
fighting for dreams,
fighting for the chance to shine,
to feel the warmth of the sun on our skin,
the taste of victory,
the sweet nectar of having fought,
not just survived,
but thrived.

In this struggle,
we grasp the weapons of our choice,
courage and kindness,
words and action,
faces that mirror strength,
hands that lift each other up.
The world sometimes feels heavy,
a weight on our chests,
but within us lies the power,
the fire that can break down walls,
that can change every 'no'
into 'yes, '
that can turn tears
into laughter.

We face darkness,
the whispers of self-doubt,
the shadows that tell us
we are not enough.
But what if we could stand taller?
What if we could call out to each other,
join together, shoulder to shoulder,
like a line of guardians,
ready to confront the fears
that bind us like chains?

This war is not one of swords,
but of spirit, of will,
truth clashing with lies,
hope against despair.
And every fight,
every moment we dare to declare,
"I am here, I won't back down, "
is a victory,
a mark on the map of our journey,
a testament to love and passion
that ignites the heart like wildfire.

So let's carry on,
with scars as signs of our battles,
with laughter echoing like a battle hymn,
let's dance through the storms,
and kiss the light where it breaks,
because life is a counter war,
and we must fight for it,
for the dreams that paint our nights,
and the mornings that promise so much more.

Together we stand,
our voices weaving stories,
worth fighting for,
never backing away,
and in this beautiful chaos,
we grow, we learn,
we live.
