Life Is A Story Poem by Mohammad Yousef

Life Is A Story

By Mohammad A. Yousef

Life is a story, so write it,
a tale with pages yet to fill,
each moment a word,
each choice a line,
some chapters bright like morning sun,
others shadowed, heavy with rain.

Here, in the swirl of our days,
we find characters, each face a journey,
friends and lovers, teachers and strangers,
they step in and out, adding color
to our scenes,
painting skies with laughter and tears,
drawing maps of shared memories,
where we wander,
hands linked,
or sometimes, apart.

There are plot twists, unexpected turns,
the times we rise high,
while other moments drop us low,
but in every setback, every stumble,
we gather strength,
we learn to pick ourselves up,
to hold our pen firmly and write on,
the ink of our lives, rich and thick
with experience, hope, and dreams.

So take that blank page and dare,
scribble joy,
let anger spill,
let love flow like a river,
create a symphony, a masterpiece,
where your voice sings loud,
echoing truths only you can tell,
not worried about grammar,
not bound by anyone's rules,
just the rhythm of your heartbeat
guiding your hand,
daring to carve out your story.

Breathe it in, this wild adventure,
the highs, the lows, the twist in the night,
for every moment is a chance to find
the meaning hidden like jewels
in the casket of time,
and as pages turn, remember,
the ink is in your hands.

So what will it be, your grand finale?
A soft whisper, or a booming shout?
Will you find a close, or leave it open,
the promise of tomorrow, a pen waiting,
for you to fill the gaps,
to write your story,
in bold strokes,
in wild freedom,
for life is a story—
and you are the author.
