Life On The Ungodly Street

Rating: 5.0

We were not wandering
We were not enjoying the sunshine
We were just left in the cold
The sky cracked a million times
Pieces were scattered everywhere giving shelter to our plight
This was the life on the ungodly Street.

Coldness in the air
Coldness is fair
At least it doesn’t complain
Preaching is what we got because its free!
Comparisons were made only to break
Unholy idols were made
This was the life on the ungodly street.

There were several dark corners
Several undiscovered closets
More we closed, more we discovered
Enjoying in pain
Occasional wind piercing the skin
Life bleeding Life
This was the life on the ungodly street.

But we looked together.
But we were far
Challenged each other and laughed with scars
Suppressed passions and artificial joys
An empire of nothingness but it has everything
I wished it was just you
I found its me too
I thought it was just one street
But it’s the whole world fighting and will never be free.

Ungodly Street..... that is a term with lot of punch. It is indeed a beautifully constructed poem and deserves a complete 10. I specifically admire the concluding lines and feel proud to repeat them here..... I wished it was just you I found its me too I thought it was just one street But it’s the whole world fighting and will never be free.
