Life's Great Gulf Poem by Sean Green

Life's Great Gulf

Stature confirming beauty's place
knowing all is as it should be
contentment gained in the end
sadness spurned by reality

refine impressions at heart's dismay
as predilections have their say
acknowledging those surely blessed
still admiration may persist

divine impression restrained to sight
embrace artifacts hewed from life
to admire nature's consequence
belying what could follow next

separated by life's great gulf
admire the breadth of results
surety set by the frame
stature confirms beauty's place.
