True friends are the light in the night,
A beacon of hope in a world of fright.
When you're lost in the dark of your mind,
They're the ones who will help you find
Your way back home, to a place of peace,
Where pain and sorrow can finally cease.

With a simple text or a phone call,
They'll be there to catch you if you fall.
They'll throw out a lifeline, strong and true,
And lift you up, out of the blue.

When you're broken and feeling low,
They'll be the glue that helps you grow.
With their unconditional love and trust,
They'll heal your wounds and turn them to dust.

No matter how deep you are in the dark,
They'll be there to light up the spark.
And guide you back to the path of light,
Where hope and joy can take flight.

So cherish your true friends, dear one,
For they are the ones who'll never run.
They'll be there at every turn,
To help you live, to help you learn.
