Lighted Fuse Box Poem by Jackie Anderson

Lighted Fuse Box

Going outside today,
taking a break from a box,
that needs to be changed.

One box is full of wants,
one box is full of needs
and one box is full of dreams.

Some dreams are untouchable,
in a way that keeps me up,
from being a sleep.

Some dreams are touchable
and has been touched,
in a way that keeps me up,
from being unhappy.

Going inside tonight,
returning to the box,
this break was great
and a change has been made.

Full of wants that needs my attention,
my dreams will be met.

My box will be changed
and shipped out,
so another box can take it's place.
