Like a shadow, I follow you
In the light and in the dark
Never faltering, always true
My presence, like an invisible mark
In the morning, when the sun rises
I am there, stretched out long
A faithful companion, with no surprises
My devotion, forever strong
Through the day, I mimic your every move
A constant reminder, of your being
My loyalty, never to be proved
For I exist without your seeing
Like a shadow, I am always near
In the good times and the bad
I'll be by your side, without fear
In me, you'll find a friend, not just a fad
As the sun sets, and the moon appears
I shrink and dance in the moonlight
A playful game, through the years
But never straying, always in sight
In the darkness, I offer comfort
A familiar presence, in the unknown
I'll be your guide, your support
Through the fears that you've outgrown
Like a shadow, I am a part of you
A reflection of your soul
Through every journey, I'll see you through
My love for you, will never grow old
In the rain, I'll be your shelter
A protective shield, from the storm

Like a shadow I roam,
Silent and unseen,
A ghost in the light,
A figure in between.
I follow my steps,
In perfect symmetry,
A faithful companion,
Always beside me.
Through the brightest days,
And darkest of nights,
I stick to my role,
With unwavering might.

Each gesture and sway,
Never daring to falter,
Never at bay.
Closer than a friend,
But never truly known,
I am a reflection,

A dark, formless entity,

I merge with the ground,
And blend with the walls,
I am a chameleon,

I glide and I glide,

I flow like a river,

A shape-shifting creature,
Infinite in dreams.
In the city streets,

To the lonely souls,
And the ones abandoned.
With every step they take,
I am there to witness,
Their joys and sorrows,
Their every weakness.
Like a shadow I am,

Silent and unchanging, always latent,
A companion that never leaves my side,
