Like A Star Poem by Thembi ngadlela

Like A Star

In darkness, she brings light
In my blindness, she brings sight
Even when am dull, she stays bright
Now I look forward to every night
As I get to see my star, my delight

No matter how far away, still she twinkles
And in a while I haven't seen my grumpy wrinkles
Because of the spell of happiness she sprinkles
Every single touch from her is a tickle
How I wish she was like fruit that I would pickle

A glimpse of her gets me thinking
Just how deep in this am sinking
As the clock keeps on ticking
She on the on other hand keeps winking
So confident of the way we clicking

For thoughts am clueless
For words to utter, speechless
To stop reminiscing our moments, am tireless
The list of adjectives to describe her is endless
Unlike any star, her net worth is just priceless
