Like Minds Late Nights - Poem by mike ruthenbeck

this merger of minds in the dark of night
and well after midnight's toll being strumm'd
acoustic riffs play a meal with delight,
company in perfect harmony humm'd -
of ciggerettes being mutually bumm'd-
in speaking until dawn we were questing
for the answers to questions be summound
while ourselves in a group we were testing
limits of space and time without resting
so hoping the boundaries of sanity
stay further than our confidence besting
another late night test of humanity.
withouth good kinship all privacy fails;
as cats with laser pens chasing their tails
