I was drifting along in a matter of fact kind of way,
I never saw there was any shade other than grey,
And grey is the colour of clouds that are hiding the Sun,
I scanned all the skies for a rainbow and never found one.
Then you came into view
And that moment I knew
That through all of my life I'd been waiting and searching for you.
And suddenly the sun burst into brilliance,
Spinning colours like a crazy Cath'rine wheel.
Music played and set my feet to dancing,
At last I knew I'd found the way to feel.
