We were friends though I know it wasn't for long
And for that, I seek forgiveness for I have wronged
I know there are things which can't be undone
And I know new friends are rare, yet today I lost one

Still it is not who you are or how long I've known you
A mistake is a mistake so forgiveness I must seek from you
I know I can't do much but wish we can take it back to the start
So tonight I offer my humble apology genuinely from the heart
