Limerick Poem by Michael Maxwell Steer

Limerick

Three versions of Limerick about the resignation of the Chair of Cleveland Police Authority

A chair of police named McLuckie
Was unluckily drawn into mucky
Affairs unawares,
And drew stares on the stairs
As he skidded with footing unstucky.

A chair of police named McLuckie
Found that his job came unstucky.
As his world fell apart
He remarked from his heart:
Who but me is so unlucky?

A chair of police named McLuckie
Who thought of himself as quite lucky,
Embroiled his daughter
In what he didn't oughter
Which the Cleveland police thought unplucky.
