LISTEN ARINDAM
When the canvas expresses
A heart craving for the sun
Then Arindam (!)
Not in the shadows
But
Standing in the sunlight
Make someone recite a poem
Composed by Pranab
In a day of colour and paintings
I long to don
The earrings of the Sun god
I long to enjoy
The breath of life
As his son Radheya
The breath that is
Eternal truth, Arindam (!)
That is Pranab
Let me splash
A bit of colour
Donning the
Earrings of the Sungod
Colour illuminated by words (!)
While painting
The sunflower
On the eternal canvas
At some moment
If
In someone's begging bowl
The earring of light
Is gone
And if
The moment of destiny
Brought down by the curse
Arrives
We shall not regret
rindam: Another name of Shiva, the ultimate form of power.
Pranab: Omkara; mystic form of god.
Radheya: Karna, the son of Sun god and unmarried Kunti from the epic Mahabharat.
