Listen to my words baby,
maybe they will drown out your screams.
And as I take hold of your heart,
remember mine too has been ripped at the seams.
But there's a light in the darkness,
a brighter day after the night.
And although you smile,
I can see the tears forming in your eyes.
I can see every disguise you've given life shatter,
and it's only a matter of time,
until you've fallen so far you forget how to climb.
But I'm still reaching out,
so place your hand in mine.
And when you feel you can't turn anywhere,
you can always turn to your side.
