Little Donkey Poem by Richard Murray

Little Donkey

Rating: 4.2

Little donkey on her way
With a steady pace,
Bearing Mary, great with Child,
Full of love and grace.
Little donkey stops to rest
In Bethlehem one night.
From a stable she can see
The sky filled with light.
Little donkey eating hay
Feels the gentle breeze
Of shepherds moving past her
And falling to their knees.
Little donkey hears the cry
Of sweet Emmanuel.
She looks at her Creator
And knows that all is well.
