Little Hidden Lights Poem by Joseph Sakyiamah

Little Hidden Lights

Like a haven as an unfolding sky,
‎Freely as the rainfall,
‎We are rainbows, sparkling bright;
‎As rain nourishes the earth, we were welcomed;
‎As flowers bloom, love smiles,
‎Ooh, it was love at first sight.
‎Opened like a blanket,
‎Not a wish casket, but a basket full of love.
‎Until we became light,
‎Then they began to be frightened,
‎As winter brings snow, they felt threatened,
‎But we will overcome their darkness.
