Inside calm harmonies
molasses feelings drip,
breathe in an ocean breeze
sun tumbles across my lip.
Exhale trauma, inhale peace
your inner beauty a lullaby to the mind
the universe is where you exist
growing deeper with the passing of time.
It's glass breaking inside your mouth
burning cigarettes burrowing into eyes,
sand the foundation of your house
walls held up by lies.
When did you give your mind away?
Image and façade is what you give,
listen to what you don't say
Choose to live.
