Living In Slow Motion, Breaking All At Once Poem by Bernard Henrie

Living In Slow Motion, Breaking All At Once

Please sit with me.
Perch, group.

I want to talk with you
sans the goddamn
you pool
in the Perspex
of your
shuttered iris,

the sexual
on loan
from somewhere
once,

otherwise the plums
stumbling
in the snow
shout without
purpose

and the snoring
toucan
sedated in the leafy bay
dreams alone.
