that binds marriage

the lubricant

that prevents devastating

friction in the home

the safeguard

of community life

the beam of hope

in a world of distress

the peace of old age

the sunlight of hope

shining through the death

it is a gift of God

the most enduring

most powerful virtue: LOVE.
