Lonely Lights In Salina Cruz Poem by Timmy Curran

Lonely Lights In Salina Cruz

There's a lonely light
on a darkened highway
speeding through the stars
A humid day in Salina Cruz,
the time has passed away
A lonely light shining dim,
casting shadows on sleeping faces,
raining stardust on,
frail beautiful shoulders
Another eight hours
it will be another home
A lonely light will
succumb to the sun
A hazy day in Salina Cruz,
will bring all the thoughts
of a northern day
to this lonely light
and he who is under its ray
